Gentamicin 4%® is a potent broad-spectrum injectable antibiotic containing gentamicin sulfate, an aminoglycoside effective against a wide range of Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, leading to rapid bactericidal action. Gentamicin is especially effective against pathogens causing respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, and systemic infections in livestock.
